Desi is a serial entrepreneur.  As the managing director of Plinth Agency, he has successfully grown businesses through strategic branding, design, and crowdfunding. He brings 15+ years of experience creating, funding, and branding unique business concepts which span the food, music, technology spaces. 

His past achievements include the Summit SF, one of the nation’s first café and co-working spaces and the Poleng Lounge, a Filipino restaurant and nightclub which was named one of SF’s Top 10 New Restaurants in 2006.

As a dedicated community advocate, Desi is currently leading the strategy for the economic development of SOMA Pilipinas, a newly designated cultural district in San Francisco. He believes community consciousness and culture are the keys to developing today’s thriving commercial ecosystems.

Gina Mariko Rosales is an events enthusiast, efficiency nerd, dancer, and nonprofit advocate. As the Marketing Events Lead at X (formerly known as Google X), Gina creates opportunities for the community to engage with X and their “moonshot” projects. She is also the Founder of Make it Mariko, a San Francisco event production company focused on creating magical, meaningful moments through events.

As an “entrepinay” born and raised in the Bay Area, Gina is passionate about connecting people, creating art, and building community. She was the former Executive Director of the award-winning nonprofit dance company, Funkanometry SF, where she tripled their membership and annual budget, built two new community programs, and founded their first community showcase, The Sockhop. Gina also spent five years working in the nonprofit sector teaching youth after-school programs and doing outreach and communications for local arts education nonprofits. In her spare time, Gina can be found whacking to disco music, walking her dog Mochi, singing karaoke, and working as a crisis chat volunteer for the Trevor Project.

Lisa Nourse has spent 15 years in PR and is the principal of LNPR. Nourse spent three years as vice president of San Francisco’s Rivera PR, where she specialized in restaurant launches.  Prior to Rivera, she served as vice president at Seattle-based Wilson PR, where she oversaw the firm’s lifestyle client portfolio (hotels, restaurants, bars, spas, food products, personalities) for four-plus years.

Ron has been in the retail and apparel industry for almost 20 years, holding various senior level roles in Buying, Merchandising and Product Development with companies such as Gap, Levis, Gymboree, Williams & Sonoma, and Quicksilver, among others.

Ron, along with his wife Tricia are Co-owners/founders of ASMBLY HALL, a Men's and Women's apparel and accessories boutique located in San Francisco's historic Fillmore District, where Ron is also the President of the Fillmore Merchants Association.

Ron and Tricia recently celebrated the 5 year anniversary of their shop and partnered with San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee to kick-off the the Mayor's 'Shop & Dine in the 49' campaign - an initiative to bring shopping and spending back into SF's diverse neighborhoods to support local businesses. Ron and Tricia's biggest achievement to date are being the proud parents of their zany, almost 2 year old toddler, Harlow Sloane.

Billy is an accomplished business transactions lawyer with a rich history of work in the Filipino and Asian American community. He is a founding member of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association and is a past president of the Asian American Bar Association.

Billy handles business and corporate work for new companies, established businesses, individual entrepreneurs, family shops, large enterprises, multi-entity groups, private firms, small corporations, and big partnerships. His clients operate in the areas of retail, clothing, accessories, technology, restaurant, real estate, travel, furniture, entertainment, hospitality, design, professional, consulting, and other services.

Billy completed his undergraduate education at UCLA, where he graduated with honors. He attended law school at the UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). Billy is an active member of the legal community. He is a Past President of both the Asian American Bar Association and the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California. He has served on the board of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and previously held the Secretary position of that organization. He is a founding and active member of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association.

His pro bono efforts include service as Secretary and General Counsel of the Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce of Northern California and General Counsel of the Young Filipino Professionals Association.

Billy has received awards from the Minority Bar Coalition, the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California, and the Young Filipino Professionals Association for his service to the San Francisco community. He has been recognized each year from 2009 through 2016 by Northern California Super Lawyers.

As a partner and brand strategist at Plinth, Marco has used his creative problem solving skills to build brands in industries including food, hospitality, and event production. He brings 15+ years of experience being part of entrepreneurial projects in various marketing roles.

A native of Southern California, Marco became involved in the Filipino community organizing fellow high school students. As a college student, he honed his writing skills being part of Maganda Art and Literature Magazine. 

Marco uses his expertise in brand strategy and copywriting to help entrepreneurs build brands that allow them to thrive in a constantly changing business landscape.
